Who would ever want to work in a company with shady practices (or rumored illegal human experimentation) and frequent citations from the Ministry of Ethics, which is owned by an irritable alien prone to outbreaks of violence and swear words? I mean, they don't even provide health/life insurance for their employees?
Oh, that's right. The pay is very nice. Very nice.
Aurym Krymmlore Krell
Sculpt: Oceanmoon Hwa-lan/Heisejinyao Ziyulinglong Doll Hybrid
Age: ? (Fairly young for an Attendant, though)
Eyes: Purple
Hair: Auburn
Race: Attendant
Orientation: Straight (debatable)
Occupation: Researcher and CEO of Krymmlore Inc.
DOB: ?
Likes: Dissecting things (in the name of science, of course), blowing sh!t up, knowledge in general
Dislikes: Attendants, being an Attendant, losing arguments, Klarivence
Favorite Color(s): Gold
Abilities: He doesn’t like sharing information =P
Homeworld: V’ irra
Aurym Krymmlore Krell is a particularly unusual Attendant. He despises his own kind for their animal-like behavior and pointless bloodshed. While he doesn’t like violent confrontations, it doesn’t mean he’s terrible at fighting. So Aurym separated himself from the other Attendants and lived quite happily among humans in Ethra, founding a company there. He even takes inhibitors to dampen his Attendant primal urges (like ripping other people to shreds).
Aurym tends to approach everything with a researcher-like mentality. He has a very negative outlook on everything and is often obviously sarcastic. He even spent several decades studying his own kind. Unlike other Attendants, Aurym is neither a Lord nor a pack member. He tends to keep isolated from contact with other Attendants outside of his research, though he fell to the temptation of interfering with the Attendants once. He had developed a powerful laser capable of obliterating a planet billions of lightyears away, which he took the liberty of doing. He completely vaporized V’irra, the Attendants’ world of origin. V’irra was considered the Holy Grail of the Attendants (who ever “owns” it holds the greatest amount of power), instantly making him the enemy of all Attendants. Naturally, Ethra’s government also freaked out and slashed funding to his company, as well as confiscated the laser from him.
Aurym is a relatively dangerous person to get into an argument with. He detests losing and will refuse to admit defeat. Rather, he would begin making bomb threats, an indication that you are winning the argument. However, the threats are not empty. At any given time, Aurym is always carrying an explosive of some type. If you’re winning an argument, you better hope it’s not nuclear.
Aurym came to meet Klarivence when the odd Existence appeared on Ethra, dazed and disoriented, but he had little interest in him at first. It wasn’t until one of Aurym’s employees reported about an odd patient in the hospital with abnormal healing rates, whom no one could understand. Upon conversing with Klarivence for the first time (Attendants have a gift of tongues, apparently), Aurym grew fascinated with him and the world he came from. Eventually, this fascination became a deep friendship (?) and playful rivalry between the two.
Klarivence Shael
Age: 46-ish
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Black
Race: Human
Orientation: No preference
Occupation: Lab Assistant/Infirmary Staff
DOB: August 19
Likes: Clothes, learning, cats, teasing Aurym, moving at his own pace, other things best not said in public...
Dislikes: Crowded places, being experimented on, getting thrown into acid/alkaline vats
Favorite Color(s): White, silver, gray
Abilities: Being more tenacious than a cockroach, abnormal healing rate
Homeworld: Kze
Incredibly calm, collected, and extremely rational regardless of his situation, Klarivence is about as sane as you can get here. However, there are times where he's far too aloof for people to handle him, which results in his lack of friends. Because his homeworld offered no formal education, Klarivence has an insatiable appetite for knowledge. Naturally, this also means that he works in the company infirmary without a medical license. Fortunately, he has a passing knowledge of the human anatomy, which was the only requirement for the position.
As a way to preserve the ideal Kzean society, Klarivence has a chip implanted in his brain, which prevents him from acting outside of what's considered lawful. He's also prevented from willfully harming another living being, which results in him having a terrible aim when he's presented with a living target, but excellent aim when presented with an inanimate target. Aurym has determined that removing the chip would immediately kill Klarivence, so it's still in there.
Due to various odd circumstances (including, but not limited to: a wormhole and a traffic collision), Klarivence was uprooted from his homeworld and transplanted in a harsher environment than he is familiar with. Through that, he met Aurym, a rather irritable alien with a terrible temper. The two are involved in a rather bizarre relationship in which Klarivence is Aurym's exotic specimen. Fortunately for Klarivence, he has a rapid healing rate. It also helps that he's incapable of feeling pain. However, this does not mean that Klarivence feels pleasure in the absence of pain. It's simply an absence of pain.
As for his responsibilities within Aurym's company, he usually carries out projects in the bio labs since Aurym's primary interest lies in robotics. When he's not in the labs, Klarivence can be found in the infirmary. Not much happens there, though, because few are willing to trust their life to someone without a medical license, or formal medical training, for that matter.
Tanja Schröder
Age: 25
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Gold
Race: Vampire
Orientation: Homosexual
Occupation: Customer service (call center)
DOB: December 22
Likes: Collecting clothes, taking long naps, firearms, sparkly jewelry (I am so doomed)
Dislikes: Vampire-philes (the majority of them disgust her), sunlight (vampire or not, too much exposure to sunlight increases the chances of getting skin cancer), people who wake her up from her nap for no reason... the list goes on, really
Favorite Color(s): Any dark colors
Abilities: Picking locks, hunting, sharpshooting
Homeworld: Earth
Tanja Schröder is last generation of the Schröder vampire family line. Meaning, the once vast Schröder fortune had already dwindled to nothing by the time she was an adult (technically, the fortune was gone forty-seven generations before she was born, but let’s not get too much into that). Having no inheritance and no valid documentations to work, Tanja decided against trying to blend in with the humans.
Naturally, food was easy for her to come by. She merely fed on the humans that stray into isolated locations. (Easier to ambush one human than to take on a group of humans by yourself, you know?) After a while, Tanja found it harder and harder to hide the bodies when she was done. Moving from one location to the next wasn’t easy to do (No money, remember?). She tried feeding on animal blood, but that gave her indigestion so she didn’t bother to try that again. At the brink of desperation, Tanja broke into a hospital and stole several units of blood. However, the additives used to prevent the blood from coagulating made her sick so she went back to feeding on live humans. Gradually, Tanja became better at controlling herself as she fed, leaving her human victims alive (though slightly anemic).
Tanja isn’t fond of being out during the day. However, this preference does not indicate that sunlight is harmful to her. Tanja is simply prefers to keep her skin creamy white. Crosses and garlic have no effect on her either (she's actually fond of garlic), but a stake through the heart would kill her (then again, who wouldn’t that kill?).
She continued that lifestyle for some time and was relatively content. However, this balanced life she had carefully put together was completely changed after meeting the odd Klarivence Shael. Tanja had intended to simply feed and leave him, but Klarivence gave her an offer that she found difficult to refuse: a ludicrous job at Krymmlore, Inc with a condo as a signing bonus.
