Since Saturdays are so slow at work, and Zane's been wanting to go with me, I told him he could come with me today.



"Hey Mommy, I have a question."
OK, what is it?


"When are you getting my new wheelchair? Sliding around on my butt is getting really old."
What do you mean? I carry you almost everywhere. And it's on the way. Maybe this time you won't take it apart.


"Heh... yeah... well, ya know, Mommy, I was trying to make it better!"
Zane, you took it apart trying to make an Ironman suit out of it!


"And that would be better, now wouldn't it?!"
~sigh~


"This place is kinda weird..."


"You really do work in a fishtank...."
Told you.


"This is we... OOOOH! Wazzat?!"


"What's this, Mommy?"
It's my wind up toy dragonfly.


"Oh! I bet if I take it apart I can figure out how it works and copy it for you!"
Zane, I don't need copies.
"But then you could have a swarm of dragonfly minions."
*Takes dragonfly away from Zane* No thank you, I don't want that.


"Who doesn't want minions?!?!"


"What's that?"
That's my Coke, Zane.


"Coke? Quinn told me I can't have that... it's not good for you."
Maybe no for you, but I like it just fine, thanks.


"You mean you actually drink this stuff, Mommy?"
Yes, why?
"Quinn said it's about the same as battery acid."


"WHY would you want to drink that?!"
OK, quiet you.

*Takes Zane into the back of the store, then goes up front to help a customer. Comes back to find...*


Zane, what are you doing?
"Upgrading."
You can't upgrade the copier.
"You don't know that until I try."
~sigh~

*Goes and helps another customer then comes back*


"Hi Mommy! I... found this..."
Where did you find it?


"In your bag. But it's obviously a computer cord. Want me to see if I can improve the security of your computers against alien attack?"
That's the charge cord to my mp3 player, sweetie. It won't help you do that.
"Oh. Sadness."

*finally finds something for Zane to play with to keep him out of trouble*


"This is kinda cool. And it's green, I like that! Hey Mommy, can I borrow the camera?"
Sure, as long as you don't take it apart.
"OK, thanks Mommy." (*mumbles something about needing to change his shirt*)

He's so cute! He must have been the perfect little companion that day...aside from wanting to disassemble everything he saw. XD

I love his antics. And taking everything apart... he really is a little scientist. Who only has your best interests at heart. I mean, everyone want to be safe from the aliens, right?

He wanted me to thank you for noticing that he is, in fact, a scientist, And of course, who wouldn't want to be secured against the Coming Invasion? "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, you know."

He's so cute! I adore Zane, he's such a sweetheart! I want to pinch his cheeks he's so cute!

Maybe you could get him already broken things to take apart and maybe fix? At least, it worked for my in-laws and my husbands can fix most things he comes across now.
