Jillian asked, "Are you excited about your brother coming to visit?"
"Yeah man, it'll be sweet." Ryan seemed nervous about something.
"What are they doing down there?" Jillian peered over the arm of her chair.



A miniaturized living space had been wedged into the corner of the living room to make a safe-from-stomping zone for the shrunken members of the household.



*sigh*



Off camera Ryan cried out, "Aww, man! Not again. That was my burger, dude."



*blush* *giggle* *blush* *giggle*

"AUGH!" Foster leapt to his feet. "It's too big you insufferable fool! And you two stop staring at one another, it's nauseating at best."



"I suppose I should thank you for shrinking me, Foster." Micah smiled. "If it weren't for you I'd never have met Ina."



"You disgust me petty human. Now. Ina. Return to me the jewel and unblock my magical abilities and we can end this little game."



"No way Foster," Micah said. "That wasn't the deal. We get Ivan back first then you restore ALL of us. Until then you can sit your sparkly keister back in Ivan's chair and wait 'til we hear something from Hazel."
"I'll never sit in that seat again," Foster muttered under his breath. "Wretched undead beast." Foster kicked Vargas. "You moron! Imbecile! It's TOO BIG!"

"Don't worry guys, I'm sure we'll hear some news about Ivan soon." She turned to Ryan. "Why is your brother coming so early? I didn't think he would be here so soon."



"Ah, well, like... it's like this. I might have drunk dialed a few times and... and like, said some... stuff. Truthy stuff that to a normal person would make it sound like I was off the wagon."




"If he tells Dad I'm toast. He'll yank me outta this university and send me to Community College fer sher. Like, that would suck."




"Oh crap, hide the beer! Hide my stash! Get Micah's Bible and put it on the coffee table and---"
"Hey Ryan!" Lee let himself in the apartment.

"It's my brother from another mother!" Lee called out cheerfully.
"But the saaaammmmmeeee dad little bro!" Ryan added.



"Dude, like I'm psyched to see you n' stuff." Ryan shuffled.
"For real. We'll have a great summer. Oh, Dad's dating some new chick. She's a total skag so I'm really glad to be spending the summer here instead."
"Sweet! It'll be awesome." Ryan grinned his nervous grin.



"So, bro. You sounded a little weird those fifteen times you called me. You said that little people invaded your mind and you were afraid the vampire would eat you in your sleep. You were talking about fairies and magic n' stuff."
"I was just messin' with you."
"You were wasted. But normally when you're wasted you brag about chicks. This was a little more... ah... weird? You okay?"



"O.M.G. like, don't tell Dad I swear I'm not on anything."



"I can tell you're crossing your fingers you dork," Lee said. "Besides you smell like a hippy at Woodstock."

"Okay, I know I sound ... well, you know, but you gotta believe me. And not tell Dad."
"Fine. I'll believe you. Little fairies live in your apartment and they just happened to be named after beer. Riiiggghhhttt...."



"Hey guys, like, this is my brother Lee. Lee, this is my roommate Micah and um... well, that's a fairy, a fox sprite, and a naga. They're from some like, fairy world or something." Ryan cackled a mad little laugh. "They're all real... and they eat my burgers..."
"Yes it's a lot to take in at first," Jillian said. She is Ryan's cousin and so there was no need for introduction. (totally decided that on the fly)



"...... "



"I ah...don't know what to say."
"You can start by putting me down you wretched youth."



"I only hope that undead beast is enduring the same trauma as me."

"Hey Lee," Micah waved. Vargas released the burger long enough to hiss.



"Okay see you later I'm going back to California wont' tell dad a thing see ya bro!"



"Lee, come on man. Please don't go. You just gotta stay. Please?"



"Please please? I swear you won't get shrunken or anything man, like, I promise. We can have fun man, and do normal stuff, brother stuff. I got us some sweet games for the Wii and I bought all the soda n' popcorn you can handle."

"There are tiny people in your house."

"Yeah but they're really cool."

"Tiny... freaking... people..."

"Please?"



"Okay, fine. I'll stay." Lee dropped his bags once more.

"Oh man, this is awesome. We're going to do really normal and fun stuff."

"Can't breathe dude."



The brothers enjoyed a bit of conversation while Jillian went out for pizzas.



"Um, you're sorta freakin' me out little guy."



"Bro, I am going to wipe the floor with you."



"Psha."



Smack talk ensues and games are played.

*sigh*



"I do not understand why a scholar would mingle with such uncouth acquaintances. You mystify me, boy."
"Oh shut up."



"Of course." Foster took Micah's seat and gloated at him.



*sigh*



"YOU IDIOTIC NAGA IT IS TOO BIG!"
