Dollieh Sanctuary

I finally gave in and took my School Dazed Ellowyne off ebay and am going to keep her. Had anyone met my asking price right away, I would have sold her and told myself it was meant to be. I put her up for the amount I need to get my American Model doll, but had seller's remorse almost immediately even tho I felt I hadn't bonded with her. I called one of my doll collecting sisters and had a chat with her and she helped me make up mind to keep her.

Here she is all dressed.


I think what put me off was her very intense lip color and her crunchy, curly dark wig. I think she's born to be a platinum blonde and will be looking for a new wig for her in the near future. (Next paycheck *giggle!*) Taking her out of the box has helped me appreciate her more. Her outfit is beautifully made even tho I don't like the hard-to-put-on clunky shoes. I wish I could sew a jacket that well!

I do love her eye color and think her face is really pretty. I'll probably wash the wig she has on to see what happens when the curl is softened.

So, Joan and Rose Wilder now present their cousin, Jean, who has run away from boarding school to come and live with the rest of the Muggles.

I washed her wig and here's how it looks:

And then I stole C'Mell's wig temporarily, just for the color:

I think she just KILLS in that! Well, maybe not the kinky curls. And I'm thinking something shorter, maybe, but certainly straighter. This will be the color (or lack of!) that I'll be looking for her on a permanent basis.

She also needs a better wardrobe, but that will come in time.

Oh, that wig looks so much better after being washed! But I agree, she is really stunning with the white hair-- it seems to be a better look with her lip color... I don't know why, but it just really suits her all over.

The white hair makes her lip color look softer and more natural. She really is stunning.

Thanks everyone! I ended up ordering two white wigs from different resources on ebay and will decide which will be hers when they get here. I plan to use the other for my AM doll that I pre-ordered. I think she's going to need a white dress too.
