Dollieh Sanctuary

This is really going to be my first time posting him in his own thread or really posting him to a forum. Kaze is the east wind, a dragon. When he is a man the dragon spirit, the essence of his marks his flesh in the form of a great tattoo. For a long while that is the only mark upon his skin. Later in his life his path is crossed by an incarnation, love, and he becomes possessed by one half of it in order to keep the whole intact. That is when the tribal magpie appears in the claws of the dragon upon his hip. It is the symbol for Angel, the soul he allows to consume him. Many years after that another mark appears on him, a red rose in the claws of the dragon over his heart. It means that he has found happiness and is truly no longer alone. Despite his fierce spirit Kaze is very gentle, quiet nearly to the point of it being a flaw. HE surrounds himself with others, monks, who do not seek his riches, only the spiritual center that can come from knowing and seeing so much.

My dragon is a thief. He stole all of his clothes but his white pants... even his face was supposed to be somebody else's but no. I opened it up and there he was, undeniably Kaze. It took me forever to really find him. For a long while he was a very pretty doll but there was no him inside. It's like he was patiently waiting for me to figure it out. Why don't we start with how he looked bare.



See that shirt up there? yup, stole it from Dallieh. d didn't like it anyway but... jeez Kaze. So I got him a little bit more done but it still felt like there was something missing. He still felt empty. Very pretty, but I was having problems bonding with a doll that was a grail, yanno? It kinda really broke my heart to bits.



So the black shirt was stolen from my friend's msd. She said it was way too lose but even so! The boots I got for a different SD but Kaze wanted them and those jeans.... yeah. That coat was for Cain. does Cain get that coat... no. Kaze does. Dragons are greedy. Even the gentle ones apparently. He says everything quietly but MINE! I started on his tattoos shortly after I took that last shot of him. Here you can see the beginnings... and some eyes! I will make his more gold but I wanted to try the green in for size.



Now we get to what he looks like currently. I'm going to do that in a new little post cause this whole thing got eaten once before and I'm scared!

I had started the tattoo but it was really rough. He was in pieces and... I just kept looking at his face. something was off. He just wasn't him yet. so a revised it and he turned into this...



All of a sudden he was home. The tattoo came into sharp focus and I finished it, painstakingly. It is huge. I still haven't gotten good shots of the entire thing.



Now some of his smallest parts are my favorite things. I think his hands are so delicate. Very pleasing. He is holding a piece of rough opal and you can see the tail of his tattoo. The kimono he's wearing was made for me by a friend, Sarah. It was for Cain but... Kaze stole it. The slave pants I made for him. Perhaps when I get his own clothes finished he will not be such a swiper.



I still need to make his eyes but he is otherwise complete. well and clothes. Dragon's like stuff so... he will want more clothes I'm sure. I hope you like him.

Kaname is Kaze's son. It's so freaky how related they look. Kaname is half dragon, half demon. It's a long storry but Kaze only wanted his son to be happy and not suffer the loneliness of what it is like to be in his shoes. He has been lonely for much of his life, hense the whole... sleeping with a demon thing, LOL. some good came of it though because Kaname is just a dear soul.



so that is Kaze. I will get some good shots of his tattoo as close to whole as I can and post them if you would like to see it. Obviously you can't help but take pictures of him... he's ridiculous, LOL... and a horrid thief!

So I got some.... pictures of Kaze I am really pretty happy with and wanted to share. I used light painting. What that means is I opened the shutter of my camera and then used various light sources, LED lights with colored gels on them and the like, to light him very specifically how I want in a room that was pitch black. I really... love it. I love the control. I am a fiend for light and using it to my advantage, so the thought of a long exposure where I can perfect a shot is drool worthy. Anyway... I hope you like how they came out. They really show his personality. I feel like a naughty girl. I made a pleasant sculpt look... evil. I really love him though. He's so emotive.



and a bit from the side so you can see the dragon's face upon his arm. I wish I had gotten a good one of his back... or the magpie. Oh noes, I'll have to shoot him again!



I'm so glad that you like him. I tried so hard to make him what he wanted to be. Really most of it was his fault. He took over and just became. It means a lot that you like what he is.
