I hate to out myself as a total n00b, but... where are your chibis even from?? I... honestly have never seem widdle 11cm dolliehs before. xD; I'm so unfamiliar with anything 1/6 or smaller.

Yes, Okami is quite right. They're the miraculous marvelous munchins known as Obitsu 11cm! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these little boogers. Super cute. Junkyspot sells them. I like to buy the 23cm rooted child's heads for them, I think the child's head looks best, though Ina's head is the miniature Angela head. She's the only one with inserted eyes. The rest are decals.

The doll is $21, the heads are around $14, the eyes are $5 for decals, and voila! You can make a chibi of your characters. I bought two more while in Japan, along with two other 1/6 obitsu for kicks, but I've not done anything with them yet. I have my conniving plans though, plans to conquer kingdoms, topple nations and... be silly.

hahahaha.... You guys should make chibi nagas. It's crazy easy. Just pop the 11cm doll's feet off, wrap the waist in pipecleaner or some other wire type thing to make the tail posable, and make a little triangle sock out of snake-skin printed ladies' stockings or socks.

Stretchy lycra leggings work best because the fabric is stiffer, doesn't lose it's opacity upon stretching, and the texture is nice. Some lycra even comes with little shiny bits like scales. Also, if you get lady-leggings instead of just using fabric it has a thicker "no-roll" band at the ankles and THAT is what makes the perfect waist band on the doll and there are no stitching/seam lines so it looks more natural. Plus it's already a tube so you have no long seams. Well, you will want to take the thigh in a bit so it's all the same length but it doesn't need much fixin'.

For the 1/3 scale version all I did was sew together two halves of the leggings to make a long tube.

The chibi's parts are just scrap left overs. It's a tiny little triangle of fabric, I mean the little guy isn't much more than an inch around.
