Well, the Bureau of Toyland Management has just done a preliminary round up and wants to know what's the deal with Fashion Star Fillies.

Plastic horses a lot like barbie horse in size, with all kinds of clothes to wear. They came out right after little kid me started drawing horses wearing clothes and talking on the phone.

Mkay. I'm dealing with the Bureau of Toyland Management about several herds of plastic horses my sister abandoned around here and trying to decide which ones stay. They look like Jem and the holograms if they were plastic horses.

That's a pretty good way to describe them!

To show you how much I know or really care about toy horses the micro ones are actually Winner's Choice with a hotel, apartment complex, things to jump over, horse dancing, cowgirl barrels, and a gallon sized storage bag of extra horses.

I just got my hands on an old Dallas from the 80s who was in desperate need of some love. I still have a lot of paint scuffs to buff off, but I'm making progress with the name and tail. The saddle was FILTHY, as was poor Dallas herself. I'll try to get some before and after pictures up on Monday when I'm off.

How is her hair? It's looking more and more like the ones I have will need reroots of some sort. I have my broken leg pair to experiment with before trying a whole one.

Actually (assuming you're talking to me), after leaving her sitting for a while with conditioner in her hair, it's actually in really good shape. I "washed" her hair with conditioner instead of soap or shampoo because I've noticed that sometimes those can dry out older doll hair. Before I "washed" it, it felt AWFUL. Like, I thought it was dry rotting. Turns out, this poor horse was just absolutely disgusting and has probably never even been wiped down with water in her entire 40+ year existence. Like, just touching her made my skin crawl she felt so grimy, including the hair. It felt almost like the old toys I've handled that have been in a smoking household, but she didn't have an "old cigarette smoke" smell. I think it was just four decades worth of oil and dead skin cells built up on her.
