How to help creeped out husbands?

I convinced my husband to let me buy another doll by photoshopping the doll to what it would look like! There's no blue hujoo piccies out yet, so I did the PS pic to include eyes, a face-up, and a wig. A doll with no eyes or a face-up is the creepiest to him. He's so cute! Anyways, here's how the pic came out!

You never know your husband may even get into it too after a while. My husband was never creeped out by my hobby and was always super supportive buying me dolls and even co-chairs the BJD convention here in California with me! I have been in this hobby since 2003-04 but it was not till a couple of years ago that he started looking at a Hujoo and liking the idea of customizing one.Now he has 2 and now is looking into a resin doll from Luts.

You can ask your husband for help with things such as when stringing or sanding to get him more comfortable with handling the dolls.

My boyfriend was feeling really funny the first time I asked for a doll for my birthday (before I was into BJDs, it was a J-Doll) and he felt a bit ashamed even, but today he has changed completely... it's more than 'gotten used to', he's very supportive. He bought me my first BJD Anne and today when he found my new PukiPuki on the sofa I thought he'd freak (I'd promised I'd stop buying dolls. kinda.), but he immediately noticed it was a doll I didn't have before and he said he thought it was cute!!!

My husband jokes about my dolls being 'creepy' once in a while, but there's no actual fear/phobia attached to it. He's actually pretty darn supportive for which I'm very greatful!

BUT I also keep all of my dolls confined to my work room cabinet when I'm not playing with them. I would never display my dolls in our common space out of curtosy for him, just like I expect him to keep his hobbies in his own space and/or put away when not in use.

I have the feeling that if I had a dozen large, life like man dolls lounging around the living room and bedroom, he might be a tad more disturbed lol

That's one of my irl friends! She's the reason my hubby's afraid of letting me have too many!

The fiance saw this thread and wanted me to add that keeping them clothed around people who get creeped out by them helps a lot. WIP and naked dolls do tend to freak people out more than clothed or "completed" dolls.
